Order guides for 2024 Blazer EV and Blazer EV Police Package are attached below.

Note: GM is embracing the "forced option package" approach with Blazer EV. If you want to order a Blazer EV 2LT, you must specify the Comfort and Convenience Package (code ZFT). For RS models, RS Convenience and Driver Confidence Package (code ZL5) is forced.

Both of those packages include another option package, Driver Confidence Package (code WPN).

Congrats but I still don't know why Cadillac came in at a better price point out of all new EVs being a premium luxury brand and knocked every bloated looking EVs socks off with its styling and its kinda the same suv as the Blazer and no one is giving it its flowers that are very well deserved. Cadillac is the vehicle of the year in the book in my head.

GM took another ding for getting rid of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto - I'm expecting in a year or two GM will do an about face and put them back. Assuming this actually happens, I wonder if a software update could be done to add it to these vehicles produced without it.
Motor Trend just posted an article that claims GM's reasoning for the omission of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in Blazer EV and other Ultium based vehicles is "for our safety"...

GM Says It's Ditching Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for Your Safety
GM claims people won't stop looking at their phones and it wants to minimize that danger inside its cars.

The Chevrolet Blazer EV Is the 2024 MotorTrend SUV of the Year Once again, the bow-tie brand proves its leadership in the electric vehicle space.

"Right now, at this very moment, we're living through the greatest shift in the automotive industry since the invention of the industry itself. Our transition away from fossil fuels has implications of vast magnitude; electric vehicles will redefine environments, industries, governments, and societies. Viewed so broadly, this shift seems daunting, insurmountable—but a narrower scope reveals how attainable it really is. It all comes down to you..."

Congratulations, GM.
Ah yes another MT turkey. Wonder how long it will be before GM will be throwing huge money at these EV’s to get them off dealer lots?

If I can't look at my phone through the car infotainment interface, wouldn't that force me to look at my phone more, not less?

One review I read mentioned that messages and alerts still come through the cars system even if you have an iphone. So there's that.

Remember when we used to enjoy the drive and the phone was never a thought.

It got rushed into production with quality issues. If not for that it would have been received better.

I had read that yesterday (I've been super busy at work and not much time to be on GMI). These statements from GM are like doubling down on pissing of their customer base. It's a play to get my money for subscriptions, this "safety" thing is a load of garbage. I take it as an insult that they are trying to get me to believe this.

And being that I will NOT pay GM for a monthly subscription when the 8 years are up that will force me to use my phone for everything. Though I typically don't hold onto a car that long.

And I'm certain they are starting out with 8 years free but will quickly whittle that free 8 years down to 3 months free.

The other big disappointment hanging over the Blazer EV is its ignominious distinction as the first GM vehicle to ditch Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. GM claims its Utilifi infotainment software, co-developed with Google, has a wider range of access to the vehicle's other systems than those phone-mirroring apps and will provide better route planning and charging experiences. It's also supposed to make the optional Super Cruise semi-automated driving feature work better as that system relies heavily on map data. One GM software expert even suggested it would be less distracting than using a phone-based system, though the company was quick to walk that back.

In the end, it's mostly about access to your personal data and selling you subscription services down the line. While the Google-based services like Maps and the Google Assistant are covered for the first eight years, you'll have to start paying separately for all the data you use if you keep the car long enough.

The Blazer EV shows GM gets it. The vehicle, anyway. The whole ditching CarPlay and Android Auto thing is an unforced error, which can easily be corrected by an over-the-air software update if GM changes its mind.

Hopefully that is true that GM can do an over the air update to put CarPlay and Android Auto back. I suspect in a year or two GM will be putting them back. I use Waze. I like Waze. I don't want to give up Waze because GM is telling me to.

Just a question, why would you need to pay GM for data if your phone is your internet/data source?
Not projecting your phone to the vehicles infotainment system, means you use the vehicle system, or the system on your phone directly on the phone, in your hand, which is illegal in many states.

The Football Stadium doesn't make you drink their pop, beer or chips, but without breaking the law, what are your options?
