Looks ok from the front and rear, but smth is wrong with the proportions v

Don't like the profile view and the square looking windows)) But again, it's not a new model.

I like everything except the tail lights. I liked the LED strip that went down the middle instead.

Overall, I'm actually disappointed. The interior does have a nice update, but the exterior looks to have been barely updated. Seems like the 2015 Charger got the bulk of the MCE styling update budget. I was hoping for a more dynamic update, something influenced by the 200. Just may take some getting used to it, and hopefully it'll look better in person.

Though at this angle, there does seem to he a Jaguar influence.

Nice changes to keep it fresh. My only quibble is the way the center stack looks to me. I think the only way for me to try and describe it is "bulbuous". I've never really liked it about the 300. I'll have to check it out in person.

That red is sharp!! Hopefully the plant changeover at JNAP won't affect the availability of that color!

Nice update, basically leaving it alone, but some nice adds, like the 8 speed with HEMI C version. The rotary shifter in some ways is a throwback to the original pushbuttons. Is the 300 SRT history with this model? I know they've been threatening to do that. Big mistake IMO.
Apparently the SRT/392 will no longer be an option on the 300. I have a first gen SRT300 and was waiting for the 8speed 392 combo in the 300. I DO NOT like the charger at all. Was holding out hope. And now chrysler crushed that. So I guess I will need to see what the CTSV looks like. If that doesnt work, then AMG, //M, S or RS here I come!

I just read this on MT:
All-wheel drive is available with the V-6 only.
Really? The one phenomenal feature of the LX cars was the combination of V8 and AWD. I somewhat (tried) to understand AWD/V8 being dropped since Dodge is being repositioned/focused into a more performance division. Both the Charger and 300 have been on my quasi shopping list for a new car next year just for this combination. (Sadly) I guess they'll be marked off now.

Is there a design issue with the new 8-speed trans that it can't handle the V8/AWD combination?

No, but the take rate the V8/AWD combo was very low.

Much as before with it's overly plain exterior that gives it the bare bones stripped look of the de-contented 2008-2010 SE rental car model. Was hoping they would put a real shifter in there as with the Dodge products as that rotary dial looks silly. The rest of the interior looks okay, especially the meaty steering wheel.

That's AWFUL!! I almost bought a 2006 SRT8 300 before my wife deep-sixed it. She hates the first generation 300. I was really hoping to try that sell again in the next few years.

AMG, M, RS, and -V are great but they're all really expensive compared to what a used SRT8 demands. The only way I can make sense of buying a ride like that is to wait for a low-mileage car that's already 5-6 years old. And you couldn't pay me to own a German car out of warranty. The SRTs, however, don't scare me.

I'll have to see it in the flesh. And I'd like to see it next to first and second gen 300s.

I still think the first gen is the best looking, most robust and masculine and out there.

CC should have just returned to pushbuttons. Why not?

A slight improvement. They could do more though. The issue remains the lame headlights that rob this car of personality, and the too short rear bumper.
Now if this car can get the pull door handles, why does the Charger/Challenger still get the old 90s style door handles?

It wasn't a huge update, but the end result does look better than the current car. The interior looks like it's getting a dose of flair.

I live in Auburn Hills and daily I see all kinds new 300's driving around in all stages of camo. The other day I was behind one and was trying to get along side to check it out more because the wheels, exhaust note and the stance was much different than the other ones I had seen. I wanted to see if there was a 392 or 6.4 badging on it, the front quarters had that heavy camo padding so I could not tell. I followed it as it entered I-75 and the driver really got on it and it loud and fast....so I'm hoping there is a 392 version in the future....

I like Chrysler but something about this generation 300 just has always looked slightly off to me compared to it's predecessor. Certainly the power, interior and rear end design are appealing but there is just something that didn't make it into this design. It's like trying to explain one one person is a knockout and the other is just pretty. It's subtle, but you know it when you're looking at it.

Nice looking, but the thing that irks me with Chrysler products (RAM included) as of late is that electric transmission shifter. That is BS. Not sure about you guys, but I'd rather have a real deal hold in your hand shifter with a cable connected to the actual trans selector shaft on the other end. Not some stupid electric motor like they are using. For cripes sake, there is not one single manufacturer that can make an electric shift 4x4 transfercase work reliably and now they are sticking us with this caca too. No, I wouldn’t buy one for that reason alone and I actually really like Chrysler products outside of this. I predict major durably issues with this electric shift as they get a few miles and time on them. There have already been reports of RAM trucks rolling away with the electric shift transmission where it did not engage the park pawl. They recalled 76 or so for that. BS, we’ll be hearing more about those issues in the near future. Hope to hell GM doesn’t start using that nonsense.
