We knew this was coming...

Justin Hyde of Jalopnik.com called it "worst ad slogan ever." " 'Chevy Runs Deep' doesn't say anything about what to expect once you've laid hands on a Chevy. Well, maybe it does, but only if you're a fan of crass sexual humor. It says nothing about what Chevy promises, why it's better than its competitors or improved from what it was before." Mr. Hyde added that "Chevy Runs Deep" sounds "less like a pitch and more like a diagnosis from a dermatologist."
Newsweek's Mickey Kaus wrote, "'Chevy Runs Deep' appears to be yet another attempt to sell you patriotic 'heritage' -- in other words, to get you to buy an American car because American cars used to be really good and everybody drove them!"

Toyotas "Toyota Racing Development TRD" or TuRD is my favorite.

Why doesn't anyone start a magazine or online car site that is pro American? It is fashionable to bash America in California and the North East, so they pollute the rest of the world with that attitude...

I thought GM said themselves that this isn't Chevy's new slogan. Simply a line they'll use in some ad spots. Probably to remind people of the brand, more than sell any one car.

I don't really find it that horrible. It's a little folksy, but I'm sure can be expanded upon. Nothing wrong with tugging at people's heart-strings a little. But I'd like if they came up with something that took a more, 'looking forward', approach.
