I like the changes to the rear but I have two problems with it. I can't stand the bustle-butt BMW esque treatment on the top and the Kia Soul like vibe I get from the faceted treatment (see https://www.torquenews.com/sites/default/files/image-106/%5Btitle-raw%5D/dsc_0194_3.jpg)

That said I like the horizontal treatment of the lights.

The front end is a different story, I really do not like the horizontal lights. It's a Cadillac, they should be vertical!.

^^
Disagree, the XTS is still betrayed by its frumpy proportions, but the changes in the MCE are for the better. It looks presidential.
Presidential? This???

I just don't see it.

Now this, on the other hand, looks presidential:

The refreshed XTS looks like the CT6's retarded cousin IMHO.

I'm glad it didn't move because the Impala is too wide for my garage and the XTS fits perfectly.

2 years more is all I need. My house is paid off in five more years.
Then I'll be in the market for a 2-3 year old Premium Luxury or Platinum.
Don't get rid of the glove box CD player or it'll throw a monkey wrench into the whole thing!
The current gen impala is on a NEW platform again? With no change in body style?
Makes no sense.

Not the worst update XTS could have undergone, but there is room for improvement as well.

The tail light extensions should be rotated 90° for a full vertical orientation, cutting into the rear bumper area. It would be more Cadillac legacy looking, more formal and more dramatic.

I can take or leave the rest of it.

I've been saying this since the XTS was introduced. I think I even did a quick mock up!

It is just sad how ugly and bland so many thing have become. Houses, buildings, bridges etc. All beige grey blah with zero design or beauty or color.
Sure don't want to live where you live. The architecture around here is as colorful and imaginative as anything in my llifetime. As to car color, virtually every make has more than one shade of red or blue and in some cases, purple and gold.
It is just that the consumer top 3 preferences are white, black and silver except for Camry where beige seems to be a hit. Not the manufacturers fault.
