Being from Michigan I found it to be totally awesome...pretty daring and in your face for a luxury brand. Good thing is that the 200 is an excellent effort compared with the old Sebring. I'm not a huge Eminem fan (but respect him) and he seems unlikely to be in a luxury car brand commercial but nevertheless I think it was great

If you look up the lyrics to that song it actually kind of fits with Chryslers rebirth. Also I believe that song was from the 8mile sound track which is from Detroit.

Good commercial.

I think this would have had a little more meaning to it if it was about Chrysler's best current effort aka the 300, and not the band aid aka the 200.

Despite sharing some sheetmetal the reviews I've read are basically saying there's no comparison between the 200 and Sebring otherwise

Chrysler's advertising company has been on a hell of a roll since the 2011 Grand Jeep Cherokee Commercial.

I watched his movie, like the Slim Shady songs on the radio, and own none of his CDs. But everyone knows where he is from and he has the best selling CD this year.

Agreed. I like the "Imported from Detroit."

M&M is not my choice for the lead in an ad. Unless it's an ad for a rehab where he's successfully undergone substance abuse and antisocial personality disorder treatment.
He's a seriously dysfunctional individual with very bad habits and an attitude. He should not be glorified.

Otherwise I like the ad and its grittiness.

BTW I went to the Chrysler site and checked out the 2011 200 and they show only the 2.4 four.

Then I went to the MT and CaD preview tests and note the 200 can be had with the new Pentastar V6 and 6-speed.

Wake up Chrysler, keep your website up to date please.

My favorite is the one called "arrive in style" which pays homage to the classic Chryslers of the past. Back when huge tail fins, lots of chrome, V8 engines, and ****pit-themed interiors were the order of the day. The new 300C doesn't even come close to the original 300 C's of the 1950's, but it's a huge improvement over the previous model nonetheless.

Im mixed on the commercial.
I had mixed feelings on the commercial as well... It started really well. After the opening 5 seconds I told our Super Bowl crowd this was a new Chrysler ad. Everyone was paying attention and most everyone liked the ad... Until the end. When they revealed the "luxury" they spoke of in the spot was a Sebring, er I mean a 200 being promoted by a rapper. Half the room didn't know who he was until they asked... At that point, everyone lost all interest in the ad and the car...

It was a strange dynamic where most of us thought it was a great spot until the end when the less than luxurious car and questionable pitchman were revealed. It was strange...

Even stranger: The best received car commercial of the night was the Camaro "Miss Evelyn" spot... It went over really well at our party, which surprised me. I think the ad is decent, not great, not bad.

But the best received ad overall was the Doritos spot where the friend sprinkled Dorito crumbs on the dead fish, plant, and ultimately grandpa's ashes...

I definitely liked GM's advertising blitz during and after the game, but this Chrysler commercial was impressive. I agree with others that the 200, aka Sebring, is a pretty weak car, but it is one of the first (baby) steps in the turnaround of Chrysler so I think it was mostly used as a symbol in this commercial.

I'm just so proud that no one has come into this thread with the token "OMG DID U GUYZ NO CHRYSLUR IS REALLY ITALIAN LOL" comment. Thanks.

Chrysler's been on my radar a lot in the past week. I think this ad is the ad everyone's been waiting for, from one of the Big Three, and I'm glad it was Chrysler. It's hard not to root for them.

Speaking to the Chrysler 200, I was never convinced it was a bad vehicle... just not fully developed.

Awesome commercial, but I fear it was wasted on the wrong car. As others have already voiced, I think the 300 should have been used. At least that car strongly embodies the values that for many define 'American luxury.'
