I've said this before. But I think XT4 has the most opportunity to make inroads for Cadillac. What holds it back is its lack of refinement and technology. But with this MCE, they've modernized the interior, which fixes half the problem.
Now, I don't know if they've made improvements for the MCE, but it looks largely carryover in the powertrain department. And while performance is "ok," it's really bottom/middle of the pack against the competition. And that's really no way to make an impression with potential buyers.

It's been a while since I last drove one, but I wouldn't classify it as "fun." It's decent. It's sort of neither here nor there. And against the competition, there's just better options at the same price point. It's a very tough segment. I mean, drive a GV60. That's what XT4 could have been.

Hopefully the updated interior makes an impact for buyers at minimum, and there are "hidden" improvements to the powertrain.
I think the interior will make a bigger impact than upgrading the suspension. I think the average luxury buyer will not notice the suspension and ride as much vs. the smaller pool of buyers who are interested in that aspect and might actually notice. But the interior, that's the big wow factor.

Even though I am one of the consumers that notice the ride, if I had the choice between upgrading the suspension vs. the interior, I'd have to say GM made the right choice. Though I think they should've done both and thrown in the 2.7TT as an option.

Maybe Cadillac will offer the new 2.5T/8sp in some/all their FWD/AWD vehicles (like XT4/5/6) before they ride off into the sunset. It's in the new Traverse.

I 100% agree there.
If Cadillac could only improve parts of XT4 as it's got a limited shelf life as it is, then the interior will reap the biggest rewards.
I'll notice the ride and drivability and NVH first off. (And I did with XT4 last I drove one.)

Though, I think XT4 would be OK with a little more noise insulation from the engine, just to cut down on the buzziness. But the 2.7L would be a good option as well.

The revised XT4 should be good enough to hold the line until whatever EV version comes out. But after driving GV60... there's definitely a line drawn in the sand. Genesis is definitely making a statement.

This guy really likes it. I think there’s a bit of hyperbole in some of his comments on the acceleration, but he claims at the beginning of the video that 0-60 is between 6.6-7.5. Then when he does a couple of tests he flashes “high sixes” on the screen.

That would be an improvement over what most of the car mags got by about a half second. He put it into “sport 2“ to get that time. He praises the 9-speed automatic and says it’s very fast. We know it’s the same powertrain as the original XT4, so if there really is an improvement in 0-60 times I’d guess they fine tuned the powertrain to maximize acceleration.

My first thought is that it looks fantastic in black (as a Cadillac should).

To make sure nobody sees a hint of hedging here let me be clear and unequivocal:

This is, hands down, the best front end in the segment, and beyond that possibly the best front end the segment ever saw. Cadillac was late to the small luxury SUV segment and the front end of the first XT4 gave the segment quite a nice new front end to begin with.

But good God! This makes the first XT4’s front end look like a toddler’s toy. If the segment ever had a better front end, I can’t think of it. There are segment’s above that would do well to have this front added to its collection.

We love the computer screen dash and the driving experience of our new 2024 XT4. Very disappointed that GM left out the Front Parking Assist. Will have to bring this up with Cadillac since they are retrofitting the 2022 and 2023 with Front Park Assist. Hopefully they can retrofit the 2024 for us.

Nice! Post a picture when you have a chance and welcome to GMI! As said above, I think the new interior will be a big draw for people - looks really cool.

Anything that particularly pleases you about your new XT4?

The 2024 Xt4 drives great with the turbo and smooth shifting transmission. The new touch screen dash is awesome with Alexa and and Android auto. I will post photos of the new interior. Only disappointment is GM not integrating the Front Parking assist as we discovered it after purchase. One would assume a $50K car would have it. They need to retrofit as they did for the 22 and 23 years.

Is the lack of the front parking assist a parts shortage thing or is it just not an option?

Edit - I built a 2024 on the Cadillac website and surprisingly they show the below under XT4 features.

Can't wait to see your photos. With respect to the engine, do you find it buzzy or noisy in any way? I'm wondering if they made improvements to the engine sounds compared to previous years. How would you rate the ride on the highway in terms of smoothness?

It rides very nice. Firm but not bumpy. Do not feel the pebbles on the road. The engine transmission mating is perfect. Can't feel shift points and the turbo takes off when needed. Only issues we are having are electronic. Memory seats keep returning to presets, sound goes off and I have to restart the car, and seat cooling doesn't seem to work. Only had it and rove it 200 miles. The new 33 inch computer dash is cool but they over did the controls. You have to be an airline pilot to figure them all out and use them. I find that the car is actually distracting when driving. They should have focused on safety. Instead, they removed safety for bling and wow factor.

I just read Cadilac's description of how front park assist works, to bring me up to speed on the conditions it operates under & how it interfaces with the driver. I can't imagine wanting or finding use for such a feature.

As near as I can tell the Enhanced Automatic Park Assist may do front stuff, it’s in the optional Active Safety package:

Otherwise it looks like the updated 2024 doesn’t have something specifically called Front Park Assist:

But see what the dealer says.
