The Bugatti Veyron is the pinnacle of automotive technique, fit and finish. Yet the design leaves a lot to be desired. Polish designer Pawel Czyzewski has made a stunning guess at what he thinks a new Bugatti coupe could look like in revealing the Gangloff Concept which draws its inspiration from the 1938 Type 57 SC Atalante Coupe.

Most people today think that the Bugatti grille is an upside-down horseshoe shape. But that is not necessarily true. The original grille is more of a teardrop, but in many of the racing cars and low-slung road cars, the bottom of the grille was covered or cut off to make way for other things like cross bars and superchargers and chassis rails etc.

I would like to see a modern version of that teardrop shape used...

Now that's a super car. The Veyron is one ugly car and the Galibier concept wasn't too much better. But this design is beautiful; a design worthy enough for the craftsmanship that goes into a Bugatti.
