2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock Conjures Up Nostalgia, Thrifty Neo-Pagan Transportation
No need to sell your soul: the Ram Warlock pickup is ominous yet reasonably priced.

  • A limited-edition Ram pickup channels the spirit of the Dodge Warlock produced from 1976 to 1979.
  • The package is available only on the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, the value-priced carryover model.
  • A one-inch lift and heavy-duty rear shocks are among the functional upgrades.
When it comes to exhuming the past for profit, few major automakers have perfected the dark science as well as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' domestic brands. The Dodge lineup is essentially a portal to the 1960s and early '70s, and now Ram is getting in on the fun with this 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock edition, which offers a look back at the very un-gothlike late 1970s.

More than just a spiritual resurrection of the original Dodge Warlock pickup that roamed the Earth from 1976 through 1979, the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock also offers great value for the money. As Reid Bigland, head of Ram, says, "The Ram 1500 Classic Warlock is proof positive that value never goes out of style."

Gotta hand it to FCA. They have more special packages than one can possibly remember, but almost always do it with a bit of flare.

And in this case, they are giving some special attention to the old RAM 1500. The new RAM 1500 is a really impressive product, but the old RAM 1500 Classic is still pretty popular.

Though I always disliked the "mustache" grille that RAM introduced on the 1500 Rebel, this is otherwise a pretty attractive package and this should help keep units moving off dealer lots.

If anyone is interested in reading about the original Dodge Ram D150 Warlock from the 1970s, there's a bit of insight over at Allpar.com

Definitely a good way to sell excess Rebel front end parts, while allowing the consumer to get the look but for cheaper price than the Rebel. Also gets you past the limitations of the air suspension only 4th gen Rebel so you could lift it.

Wasn't huge on that grille on the 4th gens, but they somehow look killer on the 5th gens, and make me want one, badly. Also been seeing quite a few of those out and about down here, so I think they're moving them pretty well.

20 inch wheels 1" LIFT and premium look grill + LED/ premium lighting on a cost effective trim level again GM does NOT offer this and TRIES to force you into a top trim to get a NON "pov pac" truck
+ this is MORE than a sticker trim it is a vehicle YOU COULD NOT ORDER without this pac at least not for the pricing on offer
