Subaru is in Hot Water for Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ Engine Failures

Subaru’s ongoing issues with its boxer engine has officially led to a class action lawsuit against the automaker. The engine is reportedly prone to failing, and customer complaints have added up. Vehicles that could be affected by the four-cylinder boxer engine’s issues include the Toyota GR86, the Subaru BRZ, and the Scion FR-S.

Online automotive complaint resource CarComplaints.com stated that the class action lawsuit “alleges the engines fail due to defects concealed by Subaru and Toyota, which jointly built the vehicles.” The sizable lawsuit includes all Subaru and Toyota vehicles equipped with a 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter four-cylinder Boxer engine:

"Defects concealed by Subaru and Toyota." Right. There is no Toyota hybrid tech in either one of these cars, Toyota lent its direct injection technology. The Plaintiff didn't take it to the dealership but instead to an independent, privately owned shop? She wants $5 million for this? Greedy money grab by lawyers. Let's see the service history. Smells like a fishing expedition. If this is "prone to failure" why are there no other articles about it?
