Really? Compared to some of the stuff on the Continent, it's beautiful, one of GM's best designs. It's like a 7/8 scale CTS-V Coupe.
I wouldn’t say CTS Coupe beautiful because the CTS shows it’s not FWD. The ELR is indeed a head turner for the right ways though. It’s proportions to me always looked like a small Lamborghini. Like it was rear engined. I’m still trying to snatch one of these up! If I see the right one at the right time I’m dropping paid in full cash on it.

For sale near me... 10K mile ELR, got the nice Kona interior, too.

Yeah, the CTS Coupe does look a little "forced" into that wedge shape/design language, with a big old booty.

THat's a good price. I found a 2016 with 15K, Performance Package and Kona leather for $39,900!
That’s the badge I want and where did those wheels come from?! I thought the only design were the ones on that red model!

Performance package uses Buick Cascada wheels with Cadillac center caps.
You could probably change badges. I think it has been done.

You might just need an ACC grille from a '16.

Interesting... it's only 10 bucks more than a non-ACC grille.

Once again, thank you for your time and info shared! One last question: I’m not well versed on the Voltec tech. What exactly happens if you never charge it at all?

It just runs like a hybrid, it'll store a little electricity when you brake (regen) and while the engine is running, but you'll top out in the high 30's/low 40's for fuel economy and never really reap the benefits of the amazing tech Voltec is.

Okay cool! We have chargers in the parking garage of my high rise but they aren’t always empty. That’s why I was asking. Thanks!

IMO, high 30's / low 40's is VERY optimistic. It's more like mid 20's.

There is a guy on Cadillac Forums that does just this.
He never charges it then whines about his gas mileage.

We pretty much think he's a goof. Charge the $%^& car.
It's a lot nicer car in EV mode.

That is comedy. That’s silly as hell! I’d probably be storing it at my brothers house (suburbs of Chicago) most of the time like I do the rest of my cars because of my choice of living downtown but when I do drive it when I get one I was wondering what it’s like if I didn’t charge it for a few days at most.

It'll work.
When I bought mine I drove it all the way from Tucson 1600 miles to Western IL on gas.
I had used up all of my electric range on the test drive.

So, if you're in Chicago, it's not very far to Bettendorf IA..

Ah, my Volt maybe did a little better?
Volts do better than ELR's on both electric range and fuel economy.
There was also a software update on ELRs a few years back that was done to extend battery life.

Because of that, an ELR will not go as far on electric today as when new.
The farthest I've ever gone in EV mode is 34 miles, in town with quite a bit of regen.
Range can be in the low 20's briving down the interstate at 80 mph in cold weather.

So, if you get that, don't go thinking there's something wrong with it. It is what it is.

What a dork. LOL Why buy it if you never intend to operate it as it was intended?
