I just received my new Impala company car, replacing my previous gen Impala. The styling is alittle better, but the interior is still a plastic mess and the seats are still flat and unsupportive. Still to early to comment on the powertrain. But it's not to early to say that I'm still not impressed. Wow they still make a car with a coloum shifter, wish they would make these fleet specials with buckets and floor shifter and console.

You know what it is like in the SS? you should Try the lighter Monte Carlo SS and feel the drive the most power Given to the Chevrolet Impala in 2006 ,303 V8 is in the Monte Carlo . Have had mine since November 2005.

You should drive the Monte Carlo SS and in the snow it has enough weight so pull you through it with ease,I have owned Buick Grand Nationals with the power in the rear end ,knowing it wouldn't go through an inch of snow . This is nice .

I sure it's great in the SS! If I get a chance I might stop down at my local dealer and test drive an Impala SS and a Monte Carlo SS. We will see.
