The Smart Forfour was a great car that Mercedes had too little patience to learn how to sell. I am still amazed it didn't end up sold under any of the Chrysler brands.
Its platform is so viable that it still gives a lot of mileage to Forfour's twin, the current Mitsubishi Colt. Despite being 9 years old, it still brings in a good chunk of Mitsu's sales in Europe.
See what happens when there's no leeway nor true barrier as in all small hatchbacks that pretend to hold 4 people, 2+1 like the Toyota IQ or 2 persons like the Smart Fortwo.
