I never thought I'd say this, but that Malibu looks HOT!

The new Malibu does look great. I like the scaled-down Lucerne profile. However the interior looks horrible in rental car gray. The Malibu really needs the contrasting two-tone interiors to look nice. Two-tone gray doesn't cut it...

Reminds me of a lucerne. Pretty nice.

When is the official sale date of this? Isn't it sometime in October? I think GM starts advertising its cars too early. The Accord will be on sale by mid septmeber, and Honda hasn't released any pictures or information.

I don't know what to say about this...the photos speak for themselves and its a subjective thing, I guess.

Let it stand at - If I had bought a 2007 Impala LT with the flex fuel 3500, flip & fold rear seating, bench seat and Imperial Blue paint to replace my Bonneville (as I almost did) instead of waiting for the 2008 Malibu, I wouldn't have regretted it after these photos.

I know a lot of guys here rabidly want to like this car, so I'll just kick back and read from here on out. No need to nitpick what's already done. Besides, someone's going to say "It's just a stopgap!" anyway.

I'm at a loss at what to feel about this car.

The design is not earth-shattering. It isn't unique. It isn't even eye-catching. It is a bland, invisible, copy-cat design from several other automakers' works. The back end is appauling. The front end is typical Chevrolet of this vintage - styled to look ugly and it won't stray from that perspective one iota.

The interior is an improvement but not that instrument cluster. It reeks of dime store plastics and the design with that huge circle in the center is more in line with the awful styling of the new Accord interior than with an eye for design.

The more I see of this thing the less I like of it. It is already aging and it is proportionally all out of whack. That c-pillar doesn't work and the wheelbase and overhang proportions don't work.

D- for effort
C+ compared to the previous Malibu.
F compared to Accord, Camry, and Fusion
B- compared to the Chrysler Sebring

NICE...I like the 2-tone gray (no offense to all who think ebery interior should look like Microsoft hotdog stand setting)(actually, you guys need to get a clue) With the reviews the new Saturns have been getting, this has a lot of potential for being a magazine darling. It has a nice balance and looks good at all trim levels.

I was on the fence at first about this car but that is a beauty there. The darker the color the better it gets and i like the two tone grey interior it's not classy but it looks nice, personally i got for an all black interior but that grey would be a nice change for me. Anyway i can see this being a very big hit.

The LTZ V6's interior is very nice, you can't get an interior like that on the competition. I am glad they put the XM antenna to the back of the roof it looks weird up front on the Aura/G6. I just hope by the MCE they add those tech features.

The grey low end interior though is very unimpressive/underwhelming.

Unbelievable...what is GM doing? Making good looking cars? Is the sky falling? I like that so much more than the Accord and Camry. I smell a winner.

I fail to see how THIS:

Looks better than these GMI lambasted interiors:

The disgusting color scheme in the LTZ doesn't help anything.

HECK, at least the doors fit together with the dash better in the Chrysler LLC products!!
