Never thought I would buy Korean tires, but they are much better then the Pirelli's they replaced! Finally got some GM take off rims from a 14 Z71 truck, 18" x 8.5" worked perfect for 285/60 18" tires. They are V speed rated so they don't restrict my 150MPH + truck too much. The tires made the Denali ride and handle so much better! They also are M+S rated and are almost exactly the same diameter as the stock 265/70 17's. Plus at $150 per tire they were a real bargain! I had researched reviews on Tire Rack and any Quadrasteer truck with these tires were raved about by their owners.

Kumho tyres seem to be one extreme or the other - my SUV was fitted with Kumho Solus KL21 as standard, classed as "all-season" by Kumho - they were rubbish in the wet or cold, just when an all-season should excel - the wear rate was very high as well.

In contrast, the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All-Season M+S are a huge improvement, almost impossible to find their grip limit and wearing well so far.

Tyre choice can be baffling at times.

Kuhmos are cool, but Yokohamas IMO have always been about the same in cost, but better in terms of life. Personally though, I am a huge fan of Continentals. and Goodyear. Hate Pirellis tire life, Michelin's performance tires are like erasers they fade so fast. Their truck tires, particularly the LTX M/S always treated me well

Well put me in!! Never had any problems with the Quadrasteer , Delphi did a great job developing it. Not to mention you get a way stouter rear end with the Dana 60.
The increased rear track makes them much more stable then other trucks. I had my truck out of use for quite a while so it only has about 11,000 miles, so hopefully it will keep going till I can't! Apparently you don't know much about Quadrasteer or you would have bought one!

Why would that be sarcastic?? I did modify truck so it will go that fast but really the tires and speed limiter removal were all that was needed. Well the snugtop helped aero and the only other mods were Jet tuner to remove speed limiter, K&N filter element and the giant Flowmaster muffler with dual 3" inlets and 3.5 inch outlet. The wheels and tires were my last mod, now if I can just get a deal on the Edelbrock 50 state legal E-force supercharger #1577 I would be done!
P.S. Hypertech was not correct it is/was Jet, but got the deal on the E-Force, so Jet program has been removed.

Not much info since just getting ready for first rotation, and have not driven in real heavy weather yet. Tire Rack has good tire info from customers, and rate each tire within type and or size. They seem to rate these Kumo's superior or excellent in all categories, except just good in snow and ice traction. I picked the Kumho's because they were the highest rated 285/60-18, that had a speed rating near capabilities of my vehicle.
