Anyone know where the Hot Rod built LS7 Solstice is today and what is happening with it?

I'm pretty sure it was a collaboration between HOTROD and GMPP w/ Mark Steilow as the engineer and test driver of the car. My guess is GM has it stashed somewhere, or it went to the crusher. Another possibility is HOTROD is hiding it somewhere as well.

After some Google searching it seems that this car, after making several Hot Rod appearances over a few years, was retired and is still in the GM warehouse along with the rest of their toys/mules. Amusingly, it has a large note taped to the steering wheel stating that there are only a few people authorized to drive it due to it's insane power to weight ratio. During the making of this car, GMPD developed kits for Solstice owners to buy to make the same conversions. The June '09 issue of Hot Rod Magazine was the first issue they started building it, and it went on for three more issues.

There's a picture of it on the Contents page of September '13 Hot Rod Magazine, taken at the Homecoming in Pomona. Also a pic 'n blurb on Page 146 in the "Chevrolet and Hot Rodding" section. Owned by GM, and hidden in one of the "heritage collection" buildings in suburban Detroit, so the story sez.
