Pulling fuses is no guarantee the airbags won't fire. There's enough static electricity in the carpet to fire the airbags. What are you trying to do?

 

Before working with equipments with airbags remove - wire connections from car battery and wait at least 20 or 30 seconds at least that suggest GM manual ....

I was hoping to avoid disconnecting the battery I don't want to lose my memory etc. Won't the fuse pull work just as well? Thanks.

 

Once again, what are you trying to accompolish with the air bags? Read my first reply. It takes very little voltage to fire the air bags. If you are doing any kind of work around the air bags, they need to be disconnected for safety sake. Ck to see the location of ALL the airbags (seats, ect). PULLING THE FUSES WON'T DO IT. YOU CAN BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED BY AIR BAGS. NOT FOR AMATEUR HOUR.
