Mercedes CL 63 AMG - first official photo

As you'll see from the photo, it looks exactly as you'd expect - AMG body styling; Aeration slits on the front apron, and that lovely 6.3-Liter V8 badge.

It will be powered by the 6.2 V8 32 valve 514 Bhp, 465 ft/Ibs of torque. The same engine found in the E63 and CLS 63 AMG.

I must be a mere peasant, nothing in this car seems to amaze me.

In other words it looks Bloody Ugly. I sincerely hate how it looks.

I'd love to pull up to the Ghostbar in one of those!

Gorgeous. :cool:

When I first saw the new Mercedes CL in pictures, my first thought was: "What have they done?"

But I spent the night looking at the photos in details - checking out the car from different angles and slowly but surely, the design started to grow on me: just like the S-Class.

how does benz manage to pull this off every time? They start with a basic curve and before you know it, you're staring at a model. When you look at the car and just for a second close your eyes, you see angelina jolie laying on her side with her hip as the greenhouse.
Absolutely Sexy

I like it but...

If it has a 6.2 liter motor, why is there a 6.3 badge? I must be missing something here.
In the old days, Mercedes stayed true to engine displacement.

Now, it's a mess. :D

C200 Kompressor = 1.8-l 4-cyl.
C230 Kompressor = 1.8-l 4-cyl. (in Europe) / 2.3-l 4-cyl. (in America)
C240 = 2.6-l V6
C280 = 3.0 V6
C200 CDI = 2.2-l 4-cyl.
C280 CDI = 3.0 V6 CDI

E200 Kompressor = 1.8-l 4-cyl.
E280 = 3.0 V6
E200 CDI = 2.2-l 4-cyl. CDI
E280 CDI = 3.0 V6 CDI

SLK280 = 3.0 V6
CLK280 = 3.0 V6

ML280 CDI = 3.0 V6 CDI
R280 CDI = 3.0 V6 CDI

The pre-facelift SL350 had a 3.7-l V6, now it has the new 3.5-l V6.

Crazy. :yup:

It's incredible how cars look better in real life than in pictures. I suppose you get to see the proportions etc. much better and the depth perception really makes a difference. :)
