Seeing the digital gauge in action is everything. That’s pretty cool.

To summarize all of the reviews "OMG, DAT SCREEN!!!"

Let's see how it fares in comparisons before we pop bottles in celebration...it is the latest to the market so it should take the gold, but let's see if its ahead and if so, how far ahead it is with everything else as well.

Despite it's size it will be compared to the GLS, X7, and the Range Rover so it isn't just the Navigator it has to exceed.

I know Doug is pretty goofy and a lot of people dislike him, but I find myself in agreement with him on his review with obvious exceptions being those items like material quality which I have no way of judging.

I still find the exterior to be a big step backwards from what I consider the best looking luxury SUV in the previous version. I think the interior style and tech are awesome, easily on par with or better than the Navigator. What I want to know is why Cadillac can only hit a home run inside or out, but never both at the same time? That interior and tech with a bolder exterior would be awesome!
I love Doug - he is right about the GM corporate washer and signal controls being cheapish.

I actually think the new look is fine but I also agree the tires are lame for a "platinum" trim and it's not as bling as I may have thought it would be. I'm sure the V model will step it all up a bit though!

If you are looking for a negative review, over at the Verge you can find a whimpering nerd whining that the Escalade is big and scary and that stresses him out.

Frankly, I have been known to openly, and without irony, call myself “momma’s little sissy boy” and I have decided that man isn’t manly enough to be in my company.
I saw that.
Guy belongs in a stroller, not an Escalade.

I dunno I think it looks evolutionary and yet still looks like an Escalade. The 2015 was widely panned for the excessive grill and vertical tail lamps yet it stood out and continued its sales dominance. I the new one looks better depending on colour and grill...I think the white and black look best from what I’ve seen and as I previously stated, the horizontal grill looks best. Just saw that Tom from Driven dropped a video. White is stunning w that colour interior.

HA! While watching this review I had three ads for the Navigator. That's hilarious.

There is some quibbles that are strange like the no sun shades but it's a lot of small stuff that can easily be fixed. Just odd it wasn't included in the first place.

It’s on the .ca Cadillac build site. $5800! For chromed wheels, a different grill, puddle lamps and monochromatic badging.
That's like $1,000 US! :D;)

Actually, it's $3,295 US (Dealer installed)

Agreed, I've never had a Bose knock my socks off. Decent, but not great. Hopefully we see more of this SKG, at least in GM's top offerings!
Right now AKG is exclusive to Cadillac and I hope it stays that way. A version of that system needs to find it's way into every Cadillac product STAT.

Never understood why GM won't put shades into the side windows of their vehicles and when they did (CT6) they were the cheap manual ones. This is Cadillac and the Escalade should have them.

looks nice, but, I have never been convinced that these vehicles are worth over 100K, and I mean, all of them...from, Cadillac to Mercedes to Lexus
As I've told you for years, you're not a luxury customer.

You don't have the luxury mindset.
A lot of the luxury good out there do not command the higher price. It's the image and perception and limited quantities and the marketing of said exclusivity that makes it a luxury good.
