All I know is that is puts out 138hp and 129lbs feet of torque. Its supposed to get 4% better gas mileage too. I hope someone else on the boards has more technical details for you.

Not in the US it doesn't. 2.0T for the states in various trim levels.

I have the new astra that saturn makes and it has the 1.8 ecotec. But there's really not a hole lot for it yet, it really sucks!!
I'd love to find cold air intake and lots more. maybe have to buy from Europe i guess???

Like the idea of the rebuild and so on rather than the cost of the new engine etc.There is more development behind the old XE hence its seen to be more tuneable. From the outset it was designed as a performance/motorsport capable engine.

just bought a saturn astra and its missfirering and the coil assembly is very pricey any way to change it to have spark plug wires or what do you suggest need help asap!!!!!!!!
