When is the last time the auto rags reviewed GM vehicles fairly in a comparison test?

I have been reading the magazines since 1964 and still have most of them, and i can honestly say most magazines never reviewed GM cars fairly,
I remember when the 70 1/2 Z28 came out , Motor trend called it the "Grey deceiver " as their take was that the 350 engine was a let down compared to last years 302.
The 71 Camaro was a great pony/ muscle car.
In the 60's most critics wanted to split GM up , They killed many cars like the Corvair, X cars , on and on, and never gave the credit to GM for all of the performance models like the Chevelle and Nova ss. Even the Corvette had its critics.
Todays GM is building some of the best cars quality wise vehicles that they ever produced.
Many of todays auto journalists grew up with Honda and Toyota , so that is what they know and its reflected in the poor reviews of GM vehicles
I have had over 40 new GM vehicles spanning 50 years. My first was a new 74 Chevy Vega , and don't laugh , it was very reliable.
Today we have a 2011 Cruse LTZ RS since new , its in great shape, a 2.0l AWL Equinox , midnight model, and a Z71 2024 Colorado 4WD
These are very competent vehicles in their class, they are very reliable and a pleasure to drive.
At work we have a 2024 Trax RS, the comparison to our 2011 Cruze is interesting.
The Trax is a great example of how critics and journalists review GM. When I first saw the spy shots of this car 2 years ago and the details started to leak I wrote this will sell like hotcakes.
GMs issue would be capacity to meet demand . The auto critics were all over this car , criticizing the engine and power , build quality materials etc., saying it would not sell and GM had too many crossover SUVs.
After it became a sales hit , most journalists jumped on the bandwagon and praise the car, even C&D has named it for the second time as a 10 Best !!
WOW , so when I read many of these reviews over the years , and especially today, I pass the lukewarm review off to the import car bias of many journalists.

Honestly, if you need a 3row crossover this size for "medium" off-roading, you should buy the GCL with its air suspension and true 4WD transfer case. Any of these will drive down a gravel road to a campsite/cabin......a logging/fire road is a different matter.

LOL, its not the 80's any more. GM just took a bunch of spots on CD's 10 Best lists....
