There is a sleeper model of the Traverse, that is a real bargain in my opinion, if you can live without leather seats and the sunroof option.

How about a $ 43,980 Traverse LS AWD model with the Midnight Sport Edition Package and the Ride & Handling Package?

That might be the way I would go, I PREFER having NEITHER the sunroof or Leather seats in any vehicle I get.

The FE4 Ride and Handling Suspension is available as a standalone option on LS and LT trims for $1,200.

If a friend or family member were interested in purchasing a 2024 New Traverse, I'd recommend the LS model as well but with the following modifications to your configuration:
  • Eliminate AWD (unless you get the Z71 with the Advanced Twin-Clutch AWD System [RPO code G99], it's a waste of money)
  • Eliminate Midnight Sport Edition Package (it does not include any performance goodies and the 20" wheels in that package are likely to degrade ride quality compared to the standard 18" wheels)
  • Change exterior color to Lakeshore Blue Metallic
MSRP according to the build and price tool on March 22, 2024 comes to $40,195, which is very reasonable.

I have received word from GM that there is an error in my build, and an error on the GM build platform. The FE4 Ride and Handling Suspension is indeed available as a standalone option on LS and LT trims for $1,200, but ONLY if ordered with the QZR/RUH 22" wheel package. This will drive the price of the example build up by a considerable amount.

A little humorous - GM can’t even accurately list what their options are on their new vehicles?
