You should maybe try a fusion, in my opinion the titanium or se with 2.0 has a nice sporty feel that you might be looking for. Also you can get all the equipment in a titanium for a lot less. One thing to note about the lease...even if the Lincoln website was at $476 that does not include tax, tags and fees. If you change the down payment to $2500 you have to make sure the money due at signing is $2500 because that's another difference you will have in price right there...not trying to defend the dealer just offer some insight on the pricing.
I would but... this is a silly thing but I really want to have cooled seats, my LS has them now and its a feature I love to have specially here in FL. I think I am just going to keep my LS for now, she hasn't really let me down and she is still an absolute joy to drive.

I'm so torn on this design for this car. I want to love it, but it's just so disappointing... The rear is gorgeous, but the front just... it doesn't live up to what it could be. I can't put my finger on it.

I feel the same exact way about all Lincolns. I was hoping the current design language would be dropped because of them getting Max Wolff, but it doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon.

I want to desire a Lincoln. I want Lincoln to be a compelling alternative to the traditional luxury choices but it seems that their constant focus on immediate capital returns, and a desire to grow the brand via press release conspire against my desires. Perhaps the issue is that mass market Ford products are simply too good, and that a risk averse Ford simply does not desire to grow the Lincoln brand in the way that it should be grown?

I feel a bit of a presumptuous nature as far as Lincoln management is concerned , and almost as if they believe that they can compete with brands like Lexus, BMW, and MB with minimal investment. As if their last foray into premium brands did not end in absolute failure.

Honestly. I don't think we will see a serious change until we get someone in there who is SERIOUS about Lincoln. I am not doubting Mulally, I am currently reading American Icon and I am very impressed with what he has done with Ford itself but he has been clear before that he had no interest in keeping Lincoln, and this I think is affecting the brand. Will we see some changes with Mark Fields takes over? Who knows.

I think for now I will keep her:

I am not too crazy about the nose on the new Lincolns, and the interior in the MKZ (and Fusion) just seems really bland to me. I can't quite put my finger on it.

I just bought an ATS, and the Cadillac dealer experience couldn't have been better. I negotiated my trade over the phone for $3500 more than the BMW dealer had offered (after BMW left me to sit for an hour while they appraised it). I was eligible for supplier pricing so I didn't even need to negotiate the sale price on the ATS.

After we agreed on my trade value over the phone, I showed up to test drive the car and they had it ready - full tank of gas and plate on it. They photocopied my license, handed me a temp registration card and tossed me the keys - told me to come back whenever. I returned after the test drive, said I'd take it and that I would be back at 6:30 the following evening to do paperwork.

The following day I completed the transaction and I was in and out in 20 min. While I was in the finance office they politely offered the extended warranty and other crap but weren't pushy. They never even bothered to look my trade over closely! It was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had.

I can't agree YET, N.R., since the MKC styling is so different from both what's gone before with SuvCuvs AND bears no resemblance to the Z either other than grille & TLs

imho the most we can learn this year is if the refreshed Navigator is changed enough to point in a direction
but imho2 we're really gonna hafta wait for the MKS-replacement next year
whatever it is

I don't know. We'll see.

And that is exactly it, my parents have bought Fords Lincolns and Mercurys for as long as I can remember... know what they drive now? Nissans. My mom has an 06 Altima 2.5 S and my dad has an 09 Altima Hybrid. Before that they had Lincoln Town Cars (88), Mercury Sables (90, 99), Ford Econolines (84, 94), Ford Country Squire (80), Mercury Comet (74), Ford Torino (71) etc etc the list goes on and I am sure I am missing some. They got fed up with the dealer experience in the last few years. They were so close at buying an MKZ Hybird but the local dealer in RI did not want to come down on price he kept telling them that they were losing 2k on every car they sold.
blunt lie. why would you sell a product at a loss? all dealerships do this and it's why I hate dealers. Also-you don't "just make" $1k or less per vehicle sold. Anything for a dollar.
Even when I bought my Sonic I was told that the dealership was losing over $1k on the vehicle.... yea-right!

Well, it bears no resemblance to any Ford or Lincoln CUV, but the MKC looks suspiciously like the Audi A5 (with the exception of the grille, of course).

I was wondering when this was going to start. We were told the MKC was entirely Mr. Wolffs work and emblematic of the new Lincoln. Now, not so much?

1) I'd suggest notifying Lincoln management, sooner than later

2) Is anyone still surprised Lincoln is trying to get rid of as many of its dealers as possible?

Apparently they've been unsuccessful in Tampa......

The dealer experience is only part of the picture, and it comes to the fore of the conversation because the car was simply not compelling enough. I can emphatically assure you that Lexus easily shades BMW, and MB for sales/ service experience yet they still experience notable sales due to the strength of their brands, and compelling vehicles.

Apparently there were more in the St. Pete area but they are gone I only know of 2, one in Clearwater and one in Tampa. There is one in Bradenton but thats an hour drive south and over the bay. Who knows I could have better luck there but meh.

I found one in Sarasota too.

You could make a day to try out all the dealership experiences. That would be interesting.

Lincoln can ill afford miscues as wide ranging as an utter launch debacle for the MKZ, and a dealer network that if anything conspires against those who desire to perhaps consider a Lincoln for their next vehicle.
