I have a 1992 cutlass ciera s with a 3.3, and i am wondering if the supercharger from a 3.8 would swap to my 3.3?
I've looked at both engines and every thing seems to fit right. the only thing i noticed right of hand were the brackets and some pulleys are positioned differently, however; the 3.3 heads have what look like the same bolt holes as the 3.8, so I think the brackets should mount right. My under hood clearance seems good too. The real thing I am concerned about are the intake ports, will they match up right? oh and is the throttle bracket compatible with my cruise control?
hoping for a yes.
thanks

I am 99% certain that the deckheight is shorter and the intake will be too wide. But...you could fabricate some hoses and an intercooler and install a turbo. Just pull the exhast off the cross-over pipe then run it back down the firewall in nearly the same position.

Or, swap in a complete 3800 Series II and be happy.

I have my doubts too but still pretty creative idea on your part straycat. A better swap would be putting in a 3800 series II engine but it will be alot of work

Being that the 3300 is basically a short deck 3800 LN3, and Series I L67 parts will swap to an LN3 block and heads, I want to say its kinda possible but there's a lot to consider as mentioned. This may help...

try a-body.net anyway

It wouldn't be too difficult to swap in an L36 (3800 Series II, N/A) and a 4T60-e, which would furnish better performance than an M62 on top of the old 3300 and you wouldn't have any possible reliability issues.

You're already looking at some fabrication, so might as well fabricate some mounts.
