And what do you think it is large?? that would put it in the same class as Escalade which it isn't. Both XT5 and XT6 are mid size and XT6 is a 3 row. Get with it and stop being a troll.
Lol at me being the troll.

To me, it's closer to the large category than midsize. If you really wanted to, I guess you could call it "Large Midsize" but lumping it in with XT5 as just "midsize" isn't accurate, IMO.

Dimensions:

XT5: L-190 W-75 H-66
XT6: L-199 W-77 H-70
Escalade: L-204 W-81 H-74

Actually it's worse for FORD since they took the F150 dash on the Expedition and gave Lincoln the laziest designed dash ever (shelf with an ipad stuck on).
Nautilus and Edge are re-badges they have the same engines and transmissions
MXZ and Fusion are re-badges they have the same engines and transmissions and the hybrids are even worse (slow under performing useless trunk)
I could go on... the only time they ever made an effort in really trying to look different was the MXT and it looks like a whale and the 3rd row is useless
When you say laziest..How about when Cadillac/GM copied & pasted the XT-5's dashboard right into the XT-6? Or did we just forget that ever happen cause it's GM?.

It's shaped like an XC90...duh!
I was going to go w/ because it has a Cadillac badge...

Some folk on here would literlly take a piece of poo w/ a Cadillac badge stuck in it and proclaim it as the greatest hamburger ever. At some point you gotta wonder, "is this really the best" or "am i just a fan"...I'm still holding out for some to stop being so damn blinded. But coming into the thread and lobbing bombs saying stuff like the Navigator is just an Expedition while completely ignoring the fact that the Escalade is just a Tahoe by the same standard is ridiculous and deserves to be just flat out ignored.

They can't use a high torque engine because they based the XT6 on a corporate FWD platform instead of engineering a dedicated RWD Cadillac SUV platform.
I accepted this answer without question when I first saw this because I am not exactly an expert on engineering. But then, I remember the XTS is also on a FWD corporate platform and it can handle 369ft-lbs of torque. The XT6 is on the SUV variant of the same exact platform. So, I don’t know why you couldn’t put a similar torque level on the XT6. Care to explain? Not picking at you, just really want to know.

So then what's GM excuse?

No he just likes guys.....
And what's wrong with that?
Nothing; if you like guys! :yup:

If I was in the market for a SUV XT6 would be at the top of my list it's already the best packaged mid size luxury SUV out there
What makes it the "best packaged"?
It's "package"?

Really hope the XT6 sells good for Cadillac/GMs sake.
However, if it's so close in design to the XT5 why did it take so long to come out?
Better yet, why didn't it come first and a sport version of the XT5 later?
They didn't want competition with the Acadia for the first 3 years?

lol, the Escalade is based on a bare bones Silvy W/T. Talk about profit margins.

The dash on the XT5 is class leading in materials and design so why not copy it for its bigger brother. F150s dash is full of hard plastic and made to be washed out with a hose not exactly the best look for a family SUV. Look at the Tahoe/Suburban dash it's pure class.
My God, he has come back full crazy.

That's what I thought. I'm just surprised it's lasted this long with how obvious it is lol.
They may have let him back in....my guess is that they're desperate for traffic, what better way to gen up traffic than to throw a pro GM sycophant into the conversation.

I don't think they would have willingly let this one through again.

You'd think since he "crept" back on to the scene he might have toned it down a bit and changed his approach....Maybe, when he comes back for his next time out session.

Jesus.. I "ride" back into the forum to THIS.. and voluntarily taking time out to enjoy vehicles in the weather we had.. GMI's HATER ELITE :lmao: is here lobbing insults again (as if it ever stopped..) at anyone who does hate GM for doing the exact same thing that Ford, Toyota, VW, Nissan, and Honda do.. and BMW and Benz WOULD DO if they had lower brands, in creating their luxury brands. Lo and Behold.. Good ole Mercedes just guts out their vaulted vehicles to the point of an Entry level Hyundai.. but we'll ignore that because well.. some people would buy a piece of "poo" if it had a 3-Pointed Star on it.. Interiors so cheap I wanted to do a DNA test on a GLE to make sure it was really of Luxury heritage.. But lets dog GB out for saying that the interior of an XT6 is quality and luxury because some wanted a RWD based SUV instead of a FWD based one

For a fan site GMI is too critical of GM, but I think a great part of it is tough love. The biggest fans tend to also be the biggest critics.

No its not. XT6 is on the C1 platform. XTS was on Epsilon II. I recall seeing somewhere why the C1 could not handle the extra torque.

As to cheap benz's, motorweek was having a luvfest with the new A220. As I'm watching the review, I am just amazed. Up to 50K for a FWD civic. Gotta give it to benz, they know how to market.

Hater Elite....I'm flattered

Congrats on somewhat proving my point...how about you use the latest GLE and not a 8 year old one.

You'll probably come back and update to a current pic yet again and claim another honest mistake.

C1 can probably handle the tourque....the problem is twofold...1. There isnt a FWD casting of the 2.7T or the 3.0TT and 2. There isnt a FWD transmission in GMs inventory to handle the torque of either. The FWD 9sp cant handle all of the 3.6's torque hence its being detuned for FWD applications. GM would then have a dilemma, should they then raise prices on the otherwise overpriced XT5/6 because they would have a more powerful motor? My answer...no, scrap the 3.6 and go with the hypothetical 2.7 or 3.0 as the standard motor.
