Looking forward to actually seeing these when GM finally gets around to putting them out on dealer lots. What took so long? And it seems GM just can't seem to help themselves with pricing, option structures, colors etc. As mentioned every paint color other than basic black and white are extra cost. Why is the wagon only being sold in AWD? Why do they force the ugly black cladding on it? Why is the V6 not offered on the heavier wagon body? Why is the GS only offered in AWD with a black only interior? Why can't you get a leather wheel, power seat or XM radio on the base models?

This is what I cannot stand about things today in the car world. So many restrictions, hassles and the forcing of equipment you do not want just to get one thing like a leather wheel or remote start. It too makes me really miss the good old days when I could order up a given car and option it out like I want without being forced into a top trim level.
GM is the worst in the industry for nickel and diming customers everywhere they possibly can. Who else restricts color options the way GM does and then has the gall to charge so much for basic metallic paint?? A Regal TourX with cloth, non-heated seats can approach 39k. You've got to be kidding. And Buick markets itself as a luxury brand when a leather wrapped steering wheel is not even a standard feature. There are people within GM who still live under the delusion that they don't have to compete and people will just pay a premium. They can't plot how many people they drive away on their Excel spreadsheets.

Over the weekend, I heavily optioned a Denali HD in Build and Price, and was surprised that at the end of the build, I had the option to then buy remote start.

Was I just in tryptophan coma, or do you spend as much as a small house and then have to still buy remote start as an extra?

I might add: as well as having to pay $395 for metallic paint. SMH GM.

150+ days of inventory for the current Regal and 200+ days of inventory for the LaCrosse isn't helping matters.
With the trim/equipment groups schedule and lack of reasonable options (at least on GM Canada Price and Build tool) I don't think this one be a big seller either. Except for Camry/Accord bread and butter sedans any other make and model will struggle to find buyers in that class. I think GM is going Honda and Mazda way offering base stripped down trims as a price bait and then jack up MRSPs with any trim or equipment option through the roof.

To get silver or white no cost option paint with cloth seats for ~$32K CDN before fees and taxes is not going to sell many here. At least, not to me...
