I've been working on moving my brochure and magazine collection into new containers to store in the closet until I can build file cabinets. This evening I came across a brochure I remember specifically because it contained something I had never seen before. The brochure is for the 1995 Ford F-Series and the memorable content is in the towing guide that lists the maximum trailer weights for the different drivetrain configurations.
Notice the little footnote for I6 equipped 2WD/Manual trucks with 2.73 gears and 4WD/Auto trucks with 3.08 gears. "Not available for trailer towing."
Not to knock Ford for building economy-minded trucks for hauling light loads, but no towing at all? Not even the payload weight?
The black F-150 4x4 at the bottom of the page is a pretty sweet truck though. I just hope it has 3.55 gears or an automatic!
