With the absolute debacle GM has made of the Z06. I sincerely hope that the infant's importance is not undermined by the presence of water in the tub.
Welcome back! It's been TOO long!

Yea I'm torn about this thing.

We were CONVINCED Chevy had a Z/28 on boil, but it was really just a ZL1 track pack (which is dope don't get me wrong), it's just that this SEEMS the same. The wing is nearly identical to the ZL1 1LE's and the splitter and heat exchanger also take similar form...

Then again, the guys who caught the Vettes out at LAguna last month said the motor in these protos sounded ALL KINDA DIFFERENT from the LT4 engined cars also along for the ride that fateful day...

This big wing corvette has been spotted multiple times wearing blue colored brake calipers, which was a signature of the c6 zr1... so unless team corvette is trolling us, this will be the next zr1

Bad luck with the weather.

So there's two of them...

Red Mirror car had a VP sticker on the back--hinting at a possible GT3 caliber customer car in development? No clue, the red one did seem to have a more aggressive attitude to it for some reason.

Sounds natural, and kind of flat plant cranky like the Shelbys...

Sound wise, the Ring is made for big American V8's. You hear them coming minutes before you can see them, even with +200 race cars on the track and +250,000 spectators. Goosebumps.

They had no intention of testing, that was a walk, a pirouette, and a walk back.

Like any girl, they know where every eye in the room is, and they were out to be seen.

It is 100% supercharged, my prediction is it uses a bigger supercharger and inter cooler compared to the Z06 Corvette. This combined with bigger front opening will hopefully keep things cool under hard use.... or the fact that they are testing it there when its cold is a sign that it will over heat.

Now that we have confirmed that the ZR1 is in fact supercharged and if it is packing an LT5 engine then it shows that VIN list was in error as it stated LT5 and no supercharger......

I believe one road race attendance and the thunderous roar of a Chevrolet V8 compared to everything else around it either wins you over or if you are a fan of some other motor like a Porsche Boxer V6, makes you hate it with a passion depending of course how deep you are into fanboism, but there is no denying its lure. The closest thing that comes to mind is the Merlin V12 from the Spitfire and P51 Mustang....

Its really something to hear...
