But last week I brought my Wave in for a fix. I have no idea what causes this but initially I believed it to be a fuse, now it sounds more like a short of some kind. But yeah, my A/C and nearly all electrics (except the basic stuff (radio, lights etc.) simply died. So I brought it in Thursday and they fixed it (after waiting a week for the part). Two days later, it all dies again (oddly enough, it always dies the moment one of my parents touches the car, lol). I think it has to do with the A/C, I've never heard an A/C unit start up so loudly in any car (it also renders acceleration nearly impossible with a driver and a passenger aboard, something it didn't do earlier last year) before, and my electrics always die a day or two after I turn it on (weather's been pretty f'ed up lately here, so I don't always need it, and usually I'd rather use my sunroof, as it's more economical (it brings in fresh air without using fuel or busting my aerodynamics).
This car is problem-ridden, I swear. Earlier this year the passenger airbag sensor wasn't even working properly, then after the winter passed I started noticing poor fit on the grille, and my front bumper cracked in an impossible matter. I could go on and on, but I won't (paint coming off the pointless spoiler, irregularities over that same paint (bumps for one, what the hell), things like that). >_> I just wish I could lemon-law it, but unfortunately we have no such law here, just some sort of program with the automakers. You buy a new car to rid yourself of your old car's problems, and you get just as many problems, except they're not drive-train related (thankfully... Although the transmission's been acting up lately and shifting's never been this easy before).
I wants me an Astra. =(
