So reading my November '08 issue of Motor Trend, I saw a Pontiac ad with the G5 XFE shown. Okay, cool... now all they need is the GXP version! After reading the November '08 issue of R&T where the Cobalt SS Turbo lays waste to the competition, I want to get a G5 version!

If the Cobalt SS sells fairly well in '09, they may throw it in the G5 for the 2010 farewell tour.

She likes the red gauges, front nostrils, rear lights, and the Pontiac dart of the G5 better than the Cobalt's respective parts (she absolutely hates the "bowtie" symbol because it's ugly and cheap looking). I like the four round rear lights of the Cobalt better, but it's going to be her car if we get one, so of course the choice is on her.

You could always buy the G5 GT now...and then wait for some moron to total out his Cobalt SS and buy the engine out of it...I'm sure you wouldn't have to wait long.

1. Buy a cobalt SS
2. Go to a junkyard or dealership and get a G5 bumper.
3. Complete bumper swap.
4. End result G5 GXP
