When I heard GM was selling the Hummer brand I didn't really think much of it. In fact it made sense considering how few they sell now. But the more I think about it, the more I feel like it's a huge loss for America and GM.
When I look around at all the cars on the road today, they pretty much all fall under the category of boring and mundane. That's what's so great about the H2. There isn't anything about it that's boring or mundane. It's fun to drive, it's fun to look at, and it's fun to even think about.
Yeah sure it may be "excessive" and a "gas guzzler", but who cares! Just about anything that's entertaining or useful is excessive. 50" Plasma TVs, 5,000 sq ft houses, plumbing... it's all excessive. But those are all things you have to work for in order to earn, and they make our lives better. I don't care if the eco Nazis, or the government, or your next door neighbor wants the H2 to go away. It's a fantastic, unapologetic vehicle and a symbol of what makes America so great.
