Which GM car should my dad buy me? :)

I'm almost ten years old and I always talk to my dad, (coolcaddy), about what car I should get. I like Pontiacs, but I also really like the Saturn VUE. The deal is that if I go to college, he'll get me a GM car around $15,000.

I voted for the Pontiac Vibe. My dad says he won't buy me a GTO because I can't have a sports car. :plasma:
LOL  you are very young but what about a Chevy Cobalt? Or a Pontiac Pursuit? You can maybe get the Sport version ;)
These cars might be history in 6 years.
Lots of new stuff coming out these days.
Hard to know what really is available at
the moment, let alone in a year or two.

My dad got me a Saturn SL2 as my first car. I learned to drive in it, and took it over as my main car when I got my license.
Drove the car will 2000 when i got my 9-5 Aero.
HAHA I was just talking to my little brother (7years old) and told him if he saved his money, but the time hes my age he can get a used GTO.

Yup. Just to be clear, the conversations we have about which car he'll actually get are pretty much just for fun, precisely because of what you point out here; but the offer is legit--that is, I'll buy him a new GM car and pay for his gas, insurance, lodging, etc. if he goes to college. That's what my dad did for me... B)

BTW, I picked the Vibe. Looks like good, reliable transportation with some decent room and plenty of "hipness" for a college kid. :woot2:
i said a used gto, i want a gto but my parents aint spending $30,000 on a first car for me and the insurence will be way to high, im 15 and i dont think there will be any used gtos till like im 19 or 20, arg im gonna have to drive some little saturn like in that advanced auto parts commercial, :( i want a colorado that would be a nice first car

I was actually thinking of adding that to the poll but I thought I was already pushing it with the GTO. :bounce:

well the cts is less of a sports car from that side but its jus as expensive
GTO,

I doubt you'd have much trouble talking him into getting you a mint-condition Chrysler Imperial. Heck, he might even have a spare one to give you,

:D

Hey, you might got something there, Ghranky. When he's old enough to get his new car, I can say, "here ya' go, son--a beautiful 1983 Frank Sinatra Edition Imperial in perfect shape. They don't make 'em like this anymore!"...

...to which he'll reply, "Aw gee whiz, dad, I wanted a GTO!"

...to which I will say, "Right. And doesn't 'GTO' stand for 'Get The Ontario-built car'? Imperials were made in Canada, you know".

...to which he will say, "No dad. The GTO is a Pontiac. 'Guess I'll just take your old Saturn to college".

...to which I will say, "Bummer, kid. Can I have the Imperial?" B)
Not really on topic but I recently met a guy that was DIEING to get his hands on an Imperial of that generation. Weird.

Vibe, then some day he could add the GMPP supercharger! :D But still get reasonable mileage.
