What makes for the perfect Northeastern squarebody? How about this 1987 Chevrolet V10 stepside?

Article from Hemmings blog about a 1987 Chevrolet stepside.

As much as we appreciate seeing a stock, unrestored squarebody with the right amount of sun-dolloped patina (or, as I like to call it, the California glow), we Northeasterners just don't see them as often as those of you elsewhere in the country thanks to rust, attrition, rust, abuse, and rust. Which is not to say that Northeasterners don't enjoy squarebodies - we just do it in our own way, as we see from this 1987 Chevrolet V10 (formerly known as K10) for sale on Hemmings.com. Imported from California to avoid the rust issue altogether? Check. Four-wheel-drive just in case we get snow in May like we did last year and the year before that and two years before that? Check. Working air conditioning and heat because we can never get comfortable in any temperature? Check. There, see? It's now perfect for our corner of the country. From the seller's description:
I wonder if the Stepside box is the same design who was used from the "Advance-Design" era to the "Squarebody"(1973-87) era?

Man, those step side pickups looked awkward. Internal fenders up front, and external fenders in back. Trying to do a retro back half of a truck.

Jeez, why don't you go ahead and make the left side look differently than the right side while you're at it.
