What do you all think of the moderation here?

I think it's pretty good, not to harsh, but enough to keep the place clean.

Not to brag, since I am on the staff....But I think it is great

members: any complaints?
[oliver twist] please sir - i want some more GMI. [/oliver twist]

<_<

I think it's fine - it's not harsh or abusive. It's much better than what i expected. Only on a privite matter am i concearned - but other than that - it's certainly no C&G (and that's a very good thing!)

That's one of the reasons i've ignored C&G. Before i signed up some time ago - i was lurking about the C&G fourms and felt somewhat intimidated by some of the users there. Needless to say - i only made 2 posts there as i was overly-worried about offending some moderator who whould be itching to start a flame war with a newbie - all the while proving that they enjoy abusing their mod stauts and scaring off new users. To me - C&G seems like a fourm that would do something just like that.

Back at the GMI fourms - I'm supprised at the amount activity the mods take in each fourm. Rather than just sit back and wait for something that need moderation (move this topic here - close this topic there) - they actually post stuff that makes them appear more as users than moderators.

But i'm just a newbie - i don't know all the ropes yet!! <_<

Thanks GroundedZ....The GMi staff likes to take part in the convos and learn and teach new things about the auto world! We only get in staff mode whenthere is an issue or news to post
Here, Staff members are here to post news first and moderate second. We have defined rules, and only act if one has been broken. The most important thing to remember is that moderators are part of the community too and abusing power leads to problems.
^agreed. However, for the most part, this staff does a good job of realizing it is a professional situation and not personal. i know sometimes that must be tough. Keep it up GMI mods!
you guys are doing a good job, but Rex has been getting a little carried away with the photochops, and I hear Ming steals supplies from the break room.

All in all, this is my #2 top site I visit. The other one is a site I help moderate and maintain.
I think you guys do a great job especially with keeping the site clean and organized without a lot of repeat topics and such. It's also great that the mods here join in like groundez said. It makes you seem like real people not jus a nasty computer that is always changin things without given a reason.
I just think the combination of "Ghrankenstein" and "moderation" is too funny!
