Ming got me! I was about to post this at just before 11 a.m., when suddenly a co-worjker came in...Can't be on GMI at work, now, can I? :)

Now, if they can only get rid of the 80s-era clock protruding out like a wart ont he dashboard. The Japanese and Koreans are obsessed with these things. Buy a damn watch! Read the stereo...I am sure they could have saved a few bucks by not engineering that into the dash...

It wasn't a bad review - and was honest for what it was. I have a feeling that for the everyday Joe, the Aveo and Aveo5 are more than adequate. And if it gets equal or better mileage than a Fit, so much the better.

I loved the comment: "engine sounds like a blender after making one too many margertias. don't drink and drive". Made me laugh.

If the radio only has 'on' and 'mute' then why does it have a power button?

I think he screwed up. I have the same-looking GM Daewoo radio unit in my Suzuki Forenza Wagon, and if you press it for just a second it mutes. If you press and hold it turns it off.

It's a decent radio, with Aux In and MP3 CD capability, and does what I need from it.

The Daewoo Kalos, a.k.a. Chevy Aveo, is a foetid, rancid, maggot-riddled, steaming pile of guano.

The Secretary of the Treasury is welcome to it.

He, and his colleagues - and the bankers - should be condemned to drive these - and only these - for all eternity.

my father ordered a blue one last week, nice interior and design. only one complaint was the cd got stuck and went to dealership to take it out. The radio does have a power button. Yes, it has a power button.

Pretty funny review, eventhough a bit sarcastic, it's just telling how it is, you get what you pay for. Thing is, it has one neat feature that should be in all cars, the little sunglass holder. Why can't that be in other vehicles? I think this will sell ok. Also, I think it would be "fun" with the stick shift. Again....why don't more expensive GM vehicles have a stick? But, we can't have it all, can we?

Wow, just took a look at the Aveo GPL (CNG) on the Chevrolet website. It'd be a nice little car! If I understand correctly the car can be driven with either regular gas OR CNG. In combined highway/city driving it averages 5.5 L/100 km, according to the website. If that's true that's very good.

It also has frontal and side (thorax and head) airbags, ABS and EBD (electronic brake-force distribution)... I would totally buy this car, especially since right now it's only $8990 for the CNG version!
