When I was talking about it with them, I brought up all of the V info that Tahoe posted in the Editorial, and the reply was, "It will be confirmed in late Summer"

i believe one of the mods/admins who was at the NYIAS said that the S/C Northstar would be putting out 430HP in the STS-V... it was a fairly recent post i beleive.

I know, Tahoe got the info from Mr.LeNeve (sp?) at NYIAS. I was upset about the 430... Wishing they could do 450 or more.

I wouldn't complain about 430hp.

What kind of competition would the XLR-V and the STS-v have?
Well... the M5 will have 500HP, the E55 AMG and the RS6 has 460+...

So, 430 HP really doesn't sound like a lot. But I'm sure the Caddy's are far lighter than the Germans, so everything will be made up for in weight. But still... would be nice if the output were 450 minimum.

especially in the wallet B)

I forget magazine it was on, but I loved seeing on the front cover "CTS-V, Cadillac's M5 at 30% off"

Car and Driver had that i believe :) good article

and i think the XLR-V's competition would consist of either the CLK55AMG [$81k] or SL55AMG [$12k :D], or if BMW ever makes an M version of the 6-series 'vert. for the STS, just think of the performance versions of these cars: BMW 5 & 7-Series, Mercedes Benz E-Class, Lexus GS/LS 430, Audi A6, Jaguar S-Type
