Hey guys,

I did not realize the GMS pricing for everyone had expired.

I am looking at a 2008 Tahoe hybrid since there are some nice rebates out this month.

Please help, as I am ready to pull the trigger tomorrow.

I was close to getting a normal Tahoe about 6 months back but am glad I waited since I can now get a Hybrid at about the same cost!

Thanks.

Please PM me if you can help.

I REALLY appreciate it and will owe you one.

I almost decided on an Acadia but the Tahoe is just nicer overall and just more fun IMO.

I read on this forum a while back where someone was nice enough to share so I hope you can help me out. It means a sale for GM!

Hi Gruson,

The hybrid Tahoe is a great vehicle with the new two-mode system. That system, using both continuously-variable and fixed gear ratios, certainly gives it advantages over any other commercially available hybrid.

Unfortunately, it is not legal to share employee discounts. There were recently actions taken by the company in regard to that very issue:

Hopefully, they will introduce similar discounts later in the year for you. They generally have big sales at the end of the calendar year. I hope you are able to get your hybrid Tahoe soon.

At this point in the year, you should be able to get a dealer price without a code that's already at or below invoice, then minus any other rebates...especially on an "old" 2008.

Actually, GM did come out with a Employee Discount for the public. However, it's an authorization from any SALARIED employee or retiree. I was able to get 2 so far for sales at my dealership. Now, my dealership is in Elkton, MD, so maybe up in MI you don't have the same incentive. I know GM tends to move things around depending on how they're selling in various areas. This program will expire on 11/3/08.

how about a little "quid pro quo" Gruson? If I can get you a GMS authorization, you'll need to buy from me. I'm in Elkton, MD and we do have a black Tahoe hybrid in inventory. I'm not going to burn an employee discount for someone that doesn't buy from me.
If we are too far away from you, or perhaps you have a dealer you prefer to buy from, simply ask that dealer if their GM Sales or Service Rep can furnish you with an authorization number. Each SALARIED employee or retiree can give out 2 until November 3rd.
Good luck and enjoy your new Tahoe. Next time, don't wait so long to pull the trigger. Remember the old saying..."he who hesitates is lost"
