Beautiful, congrats!
Re: Got me a new Sierra!

Looks great! Surprised the 2015's are discounted that much.
Re: Got me a new Sierra!

Congratulations!

Looks good... That Iridium Metallic color looks great in person too.

Best wishes... :)

They are putting together some incredible, dare I say UNBELIEVABLE deals, I'm stopping by the Chevy Dealer on the way home tonight, it seems almost too good to be true.

I'm not even in the market, my Silverado still has 15 months and with my current payment of $250/month I'm in no hurry.............

I'm prepared for lots of smoke and mirrors, right before they shine a blinding light in my eyes and pull-the-chair, but if they don't I'm going to have a hard time saying "no".

The difference between me owning a GM and a Ford is easy, comes down to GM paying me, vs. me paying Ford................

Re: Got me a new Sierra!

Sharp Truck! I enjoy my Sierra. I'm sure you will too.
Re: Got me a new Sierra!

Good luck! Looks great!
Re: Got me a new Sierra!

That's the '4-dr extended cab', correct? Does the 3-dr ext retain the 'suicide' doors?

I REALLY would love to see Chevy/GMC incorporate suicide doors in the crew cab body.

GM using "double cab"... wasn't that a toyoyo term for a long while/still? Hmmm…

BTW- truck looks like a beaut- enjoy!

Suicide Doors are gone, GM went "Double-Cab" for MY 2014, which is basically like the Ram "Quad-Cab" has had since 2002~2003, the doors are really short, makes getting large items in the cab impossible, as well as large people in back, but it helps with side-impact ratings and body-flex.
Re: Got me a new Sierra!

Congrats. Beautiful truck.
Re: Got me a new Sierra!

^ Arrgh; went the wrong way, IMO.
Body flex is a non-issue (tho obviously side-imapct ratings are mandated). But I would gladly substitute the same weight in electronics for a stronger crew cab with suicide doors. As unprecedentedly large as the current truck segment is, we've not seen the same gains in entry/exit, unfortunately.

Hate the "Double Cab" moniker...

Yes, the Tundra still uses the "Double Cab" name.
Re: Got me a new Sierra!

Mmmmm Iridium Metallic. Love that color.

Will do :tup::

This will be my seventh GM truck. Five new, two used. Can't wait to see how it compares!

Looks great! Surprised the 2015's are discounted that much.
Welcome to the fullsize truck market....

If your buying new and don't 15 - 20+% off sticker, you either bought to soon or ain't trying hard enough!

Come on Ed!

You can probably get just as good a deal on '14 F150's if not better.

I've also heard, people are starting to see decent discounts on the new 2015's as well.

Besides, we know deep down inside you really prefer GM trucks to Ford's because they are superior :p:

Funny you mention this.

I remember you pointing this out in other K2XX related threads. At the time I didn't think it that big of a deal, going from suicide type doors to the current front hinged, how much would it matter?

I tried to climb into the back and almost could not do it, lol. But, being a passenger in the rear, you don't need to rely on the person up front opening their door first. And the ext.cab. doors in a parking lot, pushing a shopping carriage with a car parked next to you, mutha ******.

Pick ups are full of compromises, what suits one may not suit another.
