down 30% with toyoda discount. So even when they are giving away cars they are still down. And they are proud of this. WOW. Just wait until next month when there is no toyoda discount and all people that needed cars purchased them what will happen with toyada sales. They are killing them self with this Toyoto discount

It seems like they might actually be buying Malibus if they are truly up 292% or whatever the figure is... :)

Re: Toyota September 2008 sales

does anyone remember when the pundits were saying that Toyota may not only pass GM in the world but in the US? does anyone remember when a few experts predicted that Toyota might outsell GM in a month earlier this year?

I just want to know how all the Toyota lovers will defend these numbers. The press has been beating us over the head with the talk of "the right product" and quality with regards to Toyota's success and now this.

Re: Honda September 2008 sales

It was retarded to kill the RSX/Integra.

Acura needs a sporty small car that college students and young professionals can afford to own.

Acura isn't at the point where it can have a $30k sedan as the entry vehicle.
I pretty much agree. Ford anyone who ever drove an Acura RSX, they'll know how fun of a car it was. And although it was a Civic underneath it's skin, you really couldn't tell from the inside or out.

I know a lot of haters gave Acura grief about having a I4 FWD hatchback "luxury" car.....but it was very cool car. It sounds like the Honda/Acura product planners listened to the haters. lol

Re: Toyota September 2008 sales

Did anybody notice mercedes out sold lexus and bmw and mercedes car sell for about $18k more then lexus. That is very good. I am happy to see lexus go down. Finally people realized that lexus is just a toyota. WHen you have ES (Camry) and RX (highlander) count for 50% of its sale and people still call it lexury car. Finaly toyota is going down.
