Yes, and we all know how long it takes to do these things. I hope GM has foreseen these problems and have been working on them for some time . Dusting off the 4.5 diesel does not make sense to me. They should have been improving that engine all along. I can not understand GM making a commitment to something and spending a large amount of money, then just put it on the shelf. That not a good way to run a company.While the Colorado diesel will be nice, a 60% conquest rate is alarming.
It may certainly be time to offer a diesel engine in all of GM's full-sized trucks - Suburban, Yukon, and Escalade included.
Can you imagine the profit margin on the RAM diesel option?
