The Twin-Turbo Hybrid Cadillac CT6 Flagship Will Debut On March 31

Cadillac has big plans to take over the world, and the first salvo in that campaign is the upcoming CT6 flagship luxury sedan. We'll see it in about two months and change, right in time for the New York Auto Show.

That comes from the Detroit News' David Shepardson, who on Twitter quoted Cadillac CEO Johan de Nysschen as saying the CT6 will appear on March 31.

True, they could do a V series though.

May still have a V8 For the Non V. I don't think you can really launch a car in that segment without one. Regardless. The TTv6 hybrid should be no slouch. If the power levels are right, it could be quite thrilling. Mercedes is rated at 436hp/479tq for their hybrid. I think it should be pretty easy to match that.
Anyone have information about the 3.0 V6?
Rough estimates are 400hp on that engine alone.
Can't wait to see this thing!
Twin turbo hybrid... interesting!
I'm sure there will be a V8 option. Appears that Cadillac is using the debut opportunity to showcase the new hybrid system.

I hope GM will release some teasers beforehand.
Surprised at how quickly this is coming together. Makes me wonder why we don't know when the Camaro is being unveiled...perhaps it's after the New York show...

Could get its own private reveal.

A CT6 Vsport was approved, no word on a V yet.

I'm certain the Vsport will have a V8 utilizing Cadillac's new modular engine architecture.

I'm not sure I believe it. March 31st? The NY Auto SHow is 2-3 weeks later than that.

Did anyone read the comments? Painful.

Mr. George stated that CT6 will be S Class/ 7 competition. One person posted a link to an article saying "well, no, not exactly", and Mr. George posted that he "Hadn't heard that".

Not confidence inspiring.
Cue the Meridian sound system and pullman amenities comments the night before.

Yes sure, but the GMIers will bitch that you don't have to upgrade an S Class AMG to get a V-8, so why should you for a CT6.

What V-8 will they use? If they go for the LT-1 OHV V-8 the howls of complaint will be even worse than using a hybrid, stop-start TT V-6 !

Could it be that the new V8 engine development is a little behind schedule?

And/Or is this 3.0L V6 the first from that new architecture?

The V8 was supposed to come a little bit later down the road so I don't think it will be ready right away. I don't expect the Vsport to ready right away either but I could be wrong.

I wouldn't be surprised to see something like the LF4 from the ATS-V end up in the Vsport. That would be the only way they could bring it to market right away because the V8 won't be ready. CTS Vsport already packs plenty of performance so putting the LF4 in a lighter vehicle would certainly be an upgrade to performance.
So wait... the CT6 isn't going to have a V8?

Not from me!
