Thanks Brenda, Chris and all that have helped.
I spotted a camo'd Hyundai in St paul and posted it here. It was front page news. We all thought it was the next Lacrosse.

I followed that guy 3 times. It was a blast!

I sat behind her (and saw her talk to Mike Spinelly, Ray Wert and a TON of other people) while I was typoing up my articles from the NEw York Auto Show - she even graced me with a few workds (I almsot fainted ;) ) It is incredible how many people work for the Spy Lady ..

anyways - that was my starstruck moment of the year.

When I lived in Denver, Brenda bought a few of my spy photographs I snapped at GM's and Ford's prototype centers me and friends stumbled on while dumpster diving in a vast industrial park years ago.....even when I did not get a sale I got a thrill, like when I got a CLOSE UP pic of the Lincoln Mark VII with a tiny nose bra on...but the next day Jim Dunne got a better pic on Arizona with that bra off for heat testing....I almost got the cover of Motor Trend!! Brenda and I had many a phone chat....cars, roses, gardening, family...she is warm and a delight, g4y friendly, invited me once to join her in Death Valley for spy shooting but I could not go. We still e-mail now and then all these years later. In my mind she is Jim Dunne's successor as Spy King/Queen. Truly a sweet woman.

agreed Brenda is a nice lady to deal with. I still have email contact with her and even though i do not get a sale occasionally its still alot of fun to go to the different proving grounds and tech centers and see all of the new product being developed. i still remember the time i shot the VW Routan a few weeks before the Chicago auto show last year and it turned out that my shots were the first ever confirmed sighting of the Routan. that made my day and it also helped for me to breakthrough and expand my horizons to include other tech centers and proving grounds in Michigan. Since then my sightings have decreased (due to Chrysler slowing down all of its current projects) but i still get a thrill when shooting a tester

Cool! It sounds like you are having a blast in life and are MUCH deeper into the world of car spying than I EVER got! Will you be the guy who gets us our first look at the STS/DTS replacement?!!!

Maybe I do plan on heading to Milford and GM tech center in early august before I go back to school but besides the Routan, I'm also the gentleman who caught the Mercury Milan without its rear diaper (see the link below). Anyway i try to avoid trespassing whenever possible and as such Security usually leaves me alone though I have been escorted out by GM and Ford security on two occasions when they were out doing "photog patrols" on the public roads along the perimeter of their proving grounds.

I trespassed a few times at the Ford site by deflating my tummy and slipping beneath a motorized gate....got GREAT shots UP CLOSE and with no disguise of the then-future Ford Mondeo with those curvy headlights....was exciting and my heart was racing...but alas they ended up not saleable. Sure was fun though....here I was late 30's sneaking around like a mischievous teen!

yeah BP is not a big fan of trespassing to get up close shots but it still alot of fun to find a good spot where the test track is visible and get good shots of cars as they go by on the track

Awesome.

I saw a camo Mercury SUV in Colorado. There was a Ford Freestyle right next to it, and when I looked inside, it had the word 'Mercury' on the driving wheel.
