ok its not funny really when a small vehicle gets in your blind spot while driving your new Silverado with the "puddle spot" mirror fail.
Okay its back to the testers did they drive this on the highway in varied traffic conditions ? are they trying for it to see behind a trailer or what because were it is located makes it hard to see anything small in your blind spot.
It should be at the lower section of the mirror and slightly inboard from were it is now.
I would really like a GM customer service rep on the board here to explain its actual intended purpose, is it to see way back on a trailer or is it intended to see your blind spot ? if its the latter you missed it big time and this has potential safety risk's and elements to it that should be of concern to GM. would hate to know a motorcyclist was taken out because a driver didn't see him while relying on a safety feature that wasn't tested correctly and didn't perform as intended.

You should have bought the trailer mirrors if you want to see more. Just up-grade to the other mirrors!
the puddle spot is there for a reason yes or no....I know how to drive by the way and I do look that's how I know the puddle does not work as intended...geez I just hate stuff that looks like a good feature then doesn't work....then its just a sales gimmick.

Maybe try adjusting your seat and mirror in various positions in the driveway. Once you get the right sightline, hit your memory setting to lock it in.
I know how to use the features in my truck ! the puddle for me is in the wrong spot to see a small vehicle once its along side you, especially a motorcycle. you guys don't have to agree with me but at least have an open mind.

I deleted the post are you happy now?
the camper mirrors are for boats and trailer as you suggest, then the regular mirrors are for normal traffic not backing a boat trailer, the puddle intended use is to cover the blind spot for that use it doesn't work I guess if you like it because it helps you with a trailer. I never said anything about motorcycle mirrors.
here is the good news Im out never to post here again..now are you happy ?
