I don't think the Beat competes with this. Isn't the Beat a subcompact? The Fit's competitor is the Aveo. I think Ford will have some real competition for the Fit with the Fiesta.Sure would be nice to have the Beat here to compete with it.

The fit may be a lot of things, but hot is something I can't see. It's about as hot as an Aveo. The Fit is so dorky looking.
That's a pretty darn good point. I do enjoy my sunroof from time to time. I have a feeling in a subcompact where inches are so precious, the sunroof just cuts too much head room. For all the credit Honda gets for products and market savvy, the Fit doesn't offer a sunroof. I know, most of its competitors don't either. However, for me no sunroof is a deal breaker!
The HHR is 2.5 inches taller with 1" less head room and still offers a sunroof. For that matter the Nissan Versa is .4" taller with the same head room and offers a sun roof. I suspect it's the thinking that your buying an inexpensive car so you don't deserve options, or we don't want it to steal any Civic sales. Either way it's a turn off IMO.That's a pretty darn good point. I do enjoy my sunroof from time to time.
