In many ways, we’re living in an automotive golden age. New cars have never been safer, more fuel efficient or more technologically advanced than they are now, and attractive design has also become so widespread that even those buying the humblest of compacts need not settle for snooze-worthy styling.
That’s not to say that everything is perfect, of course – as ever, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and some automakers occasionally have decidedly unusual ideas about what constitutes tasteful sheetmetal. Take, for example, the ten models that follow, which we think constitute the most aesthetically challenged new vehicles on the market – while undoubtedly created with the best of intentions, they simply don’t represent their respective brands at their best.
