And the wood on all GMT900s looks very good in person.
I've been inside all the 900s, and I strongly disagree. If the fake wood was just on the upper dash and on the doors, it might be okay, but there's JUST SO MUCH OF IT around the nav area. And there's no good reason to put fake wood on the lid of the center console's storage area -- NONE!

Once again, to each his own I guess. And I can't imagine it will be difficult to find after-market trim kits to replace the wood if someone doesn't like it.

These are not hard seats to remove for a normal size person, she stated she was 5 4 so of course she will have problems she is short. But I do agree that Yukon and Tahoe do not need a third row, if people are after that then they will get an XL or or Suburban. Its just there for convenience, in the few times you will actually carry seven people. I dont even carry the third row in my suburban. And quit crying about fold flat, its a truck. If you want them get a mini van or buy a ford. IMO a IRS expedition is no more of a comfrotable ride then my old leaf spring 99 suburban.

i honsetly cannot believe that she complained about having to lift her drink over the edge of the door covering the cupholders, i mean.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I really doubt the lack of fold flat third row seats will hurt sales.

GM invested the resources into the Lambda platform for those who want an SUV look withouth the gas guzzling and garage hogging space of a GMT-900. If you want fold flat seats - buy an Acadia.
Had a 2003 Yukon, only reason did not buy another is the rear cargo area and third row seats. I did happen to buy another GM product, but the 900's lack of a flat floor in the back, plus having those dumb seats was too too much to ignore.

As for the Acadia, maybe in a couple of years, I won't buy any first year product, plus they would have to give it some ground clearance (min 8"). (The 900s are not really first year, just a nicely warmed over refresh).

While I admit fold flat would have been better - it can be argued that the fold flat seats in the Expedition didn't really dent GM Full size SUV sales in the last generation.

My personal feeling is that if you buy a Yukon or Suburban - you aren't necessarily looking for space efficiency - if so you would have purchased a minivan. I really doubt the lack of fold flat third row seats will hurt sales.

Good point. And honestly, fold flat seats are NOT that comfortable! end of story.

And it sounds like the reviewer was afraid of buttons?

My parents own a 2005 Yukon Denali and they have owned a 2002 Yukon Denali and they have owned a '00, '99, and a '96 Yukon. They liked them better each year they got one. But they are now looking into a Escalade cause they are not sure of the outside styling. I have seen a white '07 Denali in my town and they are eye-catching. They are pretty good looking. My aunt just leased a '07 Yukon and she loves it other than she got a bench seat in the front with a flip down console (or should I say armrest) cause it does not open up. On her '05 Tahoe she had a bench seat and the flipdown console opened up. She was not happy.

Now I admit to not seeing one is person, but I'd liek to know whos definition of "real" we are using here.

On the other hand, complaining about the wood trim and nothing else..we have a winner for sure. But, I really insist that it is crappy fake wood.
I own a GMT-900. The fake wood looks alright to me. Go look at one in person before complaining. It's not horrendous. Though, I too would prefer aluminum trim, it's not because I think it's "ugly" fake wood. It's because I've never liked wood trim.

Personally, I don't understand all the griping about the "lack of" a fold-flat 3rd row. I would never buy a vehicle with a third-row to begin with. Unless you're super-family man/woman with more than two kids or have your parents living with you, what do you need this for on a regular basis? All the 3rd row seat got us was an even larger, more gas-guzzling vehicle, when much of the time, those extra seats don't get used. And if you really MUST have the 3rd row, then accept that you're compromising cargo-carrying to have that extra seat. Remember "compromise"? A vehicle cannot be all things to all people, otherwise we wouldn't have sedans, cross-overs, sports-cars, and trucks.

I am not interested in a full-sized SUV with flat folding 3rd row seats that cannot be removed. I don't want to lose the storage space these occupy when folded nor do I want to be carrying around the weight all the time. I would never order a Tahoe,Yukon,or Escalade with the third row seats, however, since most dealers stock only 3rd those models, and I were to buy from dealer stock, those seats would find a place in my garage.
