I think that, based on the reviews that tend toward nit-picking and away from the merits of the car, the ION is quite good.
Ghranted, Chapel Hill -IS- Saturnville if really were such a place, but it is a definite success here.
As for the Ecotec, and the criticisms toward its lack of smoothness, I'll argue that it's an artifact of the timing chain, which more than offsets both the timing belts of its competitors, and the overall undesirability of its 1.9L predecessor.
I hope the best for the ION Redline.
