“Free gas” provided in form of a Visa Prepaid Card and only available in conjunction with 0% financing as offered by ASFS. Offer ends 6/30/08. The Visa Prepaid Card may be used anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted.

Suzuki's "Free Gas for Summer"
AnnaMaria Andriotis - Published: May 13, 2008

The pitch: Want to take the brand new car on a road trip this summer? We'll pay for your gas for up to three months.

How it works: Consumers who buy a new 2007 or 2008 Suzuki by June 30 will receive a stored value Visa debit card to use for gas purchases during the first three months. The card can be used for all types of gas, including regular and super.

The fine print: In order to qualify for the free gas promotion, car buyers must also qualify for 0% financing. That means a driver needs to be in good financial standing, says Jeff Holland, spokesman for Suzuki. (That typically means you need a credit score of at least 680 or higher.) Also, amounts for each card vary depending on the Suzuki model and its gas efficiency. See the table below for details.

That kind of sucks that people who pay cash do not qualify for the gas card.

It's usually a 0% financing OR customer cash deal that Suzuki offers, so this is a 0% financing AND 3 or 4 hundred bucks. Also, Suzuki MSRP's don't usually have a whole lot of padding in them for incentives.

it's actually very strange to see the offer combined with 0% financing. usually you'd see one or the other.

This isn't about gas cards its about marketing and getting fools into your dealerships. Brilliant. They see the ad, not knowing the fine print, and WALLAH! They come in and Vinnie the italian stallion in the cheap suit with too much cologne takes over and closes the deal on a new suzuki. BATABING!
