General Manager, Cadillac

We all have our favorites, our own loyalties and preferences. But in a survey of new vehicle buyers released today, only one brand can be at the top. The number one brand in the US in owner satisfaction in 2008 is Cadillac, according to AutoPacific’s annual Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA) study.

This study is based solely on the opinions of actual new vehicle owners rating their new 2008 models. AutoPacific adds no “3rd party” opinion to the owner survey results, which are grouped into 28 car and truck segments.

See GM? If you put effort into making good cars, people like them!!
Looks like the Lambdas are big winners as well.

Hopefully this just encourages GM to keep making better cars.

good, now do it while you have a B-Klasse and Zeta based luxury product with SRX-Gen2 and hybrids across the board.

If GM can work on getting a long term quality victory like this, that will show the real progress and HUGELY work towards improving GM's image.

Glad to hear that Cadillac owners are feeling happy about their purchases. On a side note, though my Mom likes the CTS, she recommends the STS (family members have had both in our extended family) to her friends...interesting!

Gotta' love it.
Cadillac’s overall win stems from the Escalade, Escalade EXT, the new CTS sport sedan and the DTS luxury sedan each winning the title as “most satisfying” in their individual market segments. Across all segments in the study, no auto brand (including BMW, Lexus, Mercedes and the others) was rated as highly by consumers as Cadillac.

And the good news from vehicle buyers doesn’t end there. GM had 11 overall segment winners, more than any other manufacturer. < Outof 28 possible. >

Chevy HHR, Chevy Silverado HD, Saturn Sky, Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia, Saturn VUE and HUMMER H3 were also named “most satisfying” in their respective segments.
Just think how many anti GM and anti Cadillac, ANTI DTS and anti HHR, VUE, ACADIA and H3 POSTS AND THE POSTERS BEHIND THEM LOOK Uhhhhhh - Hmmmm - Ohhhhh - AT LEAST a little out of touch - to put it too politely ??????

Thank goodness that they don't run the company.

IIRC, AutoPacific's "awards" are completely purchaseable. Good for GM they have the budget, though.

PS. Given the segmentation, Cadillac DTS's only competitor would have been the Town Car, which is dead. Also, Mitsubishi Lancer won the compact car award - I really love Mitsubishi, and wish the new Lancer all the best, but seriously, does this lend any credibility to the ranking?

PS2. Saturn VUE tied with Toyota RAV4 in the (lo and behold) MINIVAN category. Hello?
