I don't do engines. I have no idea. I would assume a horizontally opposed turbo something. Like the WRX.

The platform could be the Opel Speedster or Solstice. The original pic was a Vauxhall VX220. so this project although unlikely, is actually doable.

Hummm...Not bad! But I'm not like'n the grille it looks like they stole it off a Buggatti (sp?) It needs more of an open, or blacked out one. IMO.

I think the grille looks good. If I were to black out anything, it would be the B-pillar and top. And you know how dumb my ideals tend to look, eh?
