I have to hand it to GM - those are some impressive proportions - better than anything else on the market - Mazda3 included - very - VERY nice ..

and coming out next spring? - perfect.

Igor
All it needs is 35+ MPGs and it'll be GM's biggest hit ever.

There better be a coupe,(not a hatch, a coupe with a trunk) though somehow I cant agree with this comming out for 2010, they just spent a bunch of money on the Cobalt SS coupe and sedan, and they have barely started to trickle into the dealerships and now there are going to roll out an new Cobalt? Unless they are planning on selling them both side by side with the current Cobalt(Cobalt Classic anyone?) I dont think that we will see a Cobalt replacement until at least 2011-2012.

I dont think that Nav is a make it or break it thing to have in a compact..........

If this has the right interior and fuel economy it can be another hit on GMs hands.
It does not help in sold units, but it helps in marketing, bringing traffic to the showroom and selling lesser models. interior shots and high tech perception.
When you are showing interior shots with insert radio here on tv, it does not look good. You show top of the line models and advertise base models fuel economy.
so you are showing a 22K car but saying it gets better economy that civic, etc

GM spent money and started development on the New Daewoo/Chevrolet Delta II cars back in 2005 , GM had to axe the Cobalt MCE in late 2006 , and took the cash and spent more on the Delta II and the Daewoo/Chevrolet Delta II cars. It will come in 2009 for outside North America(2010 model year). Late 2009/Early 2010 for North America.
